Roger Simmonds

Mr. Roger Simmonds is no stranger to Lascelles Credit Union. He served on the Credit Committee for many years. He has been a member of the Credit Union since 1996. He currently works a J. Wray & Nephew as the Team Leader in the Duty-Paid Warehouse.

Mr. Simmonds has eighteen years of collective experience in Industrial Relations, Warehousing  and Inventory Management. He holds a Certificate in Industrial Relations, Diploma in Financial Management and Certification in Transformational Leadership. 

In his spare time, Roger enjoys a good game of domino, football and cricket. He also enjoys travelling to scenic locations and debating on politics, sports and other topical issues.

Richard Hutchinson

Mr. Huchinson served as Treasurer/Manager of the former Nestle Jamaica Co-op Credit Union Limited and had severed on its board since 2011.

He is a Human Resource Specialist at Musson International Dairies Limited and is presently pursuing a Master’s of Science Degree in Computer Information System at the University of the West Indies.

He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Institute of Management and Production (I. M. P.), 2004, certificate in Management Studies from the University of West Indies, Mona (1990) and is a Certified A. S. T. D. Trainer.

Blossom McAnuff

Mrs. Blossom McAnuff comes to the Board with experience in Human Resource and Administrative Management. She is currently the Human Resource Officer at Guardian General Insurance Jamaica and has been since November 2013. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at J. Wray & Nephew serving in their HR department in various capacities.

In 2004 she was awarded Bachelors in Administrative Management from the University of Technology, Jamaica. Additionally, she has received certification in Secretarial Science from that same institution along with CPS Accreditation from B& B Institute.

Blossom enjoys reading, cooking, singing, gardening, and working with children and senior citizens concerns.

Sophia Bernard-Fairman

Sophia V. Bernard-Fairman is a marketing professional who has more than 25 years of experience spanning marketing and sales. She has worked across a number of industries including tourism and hospitality, distribution and branding.

She is currently the Regional Sales & Marketing Manager for J Wray & Nephew and has captured numerous performance awards over the years. She has an MBA in Marketing, and a B.Sc. in Hotel and Tourism Management both from the University of the West Indies, as well as a Diploma in Business Education from the University of Technology and a Certificate in Marketing from  the University of the West Indies School of Continuing Studies.

She enjoys growing orchids, music and travelling. Her motto is to “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”.

Michelle Bispott

Michelle Bispott is currently the Senior IT Manager of J Wray and Nephew Ltd where she has worked for the past 14 years.  Michelle has served on the Board of Directors before and is no stranger to the Credit Union.

Michelle has been an active Credit Union member since 2004 and is a champion of the credit union credo ‘people helping people’. 

 Mother of 2, she is an avid reader, environmentalist and enthusiastic urban farmer.  As a firm believer in the slogan ‘grow what you eat; eat what you grow’, in her spare time, she makes gourmet blends of teas and spices using her own locally grown, pesticide-free plants.

She will once again lend her expertise and insight to the Credit Union in the area of information technology.

Owen Dillon

Mr. Dillon served as President for the then Nestle Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union and previously served as President from 2001 to present.  He also served as Vice President from 2000 – 2001 and director from 1999 – 2000.  

He was employed to Nestle Jamaica Limited for 44.75 years in the Production and Engineering Department as an Industrial Mechanic. He is presently enjoying a well deserving retirement.

Shannette Whyte-Millingen

Shannette Whyte-Millingen is a Human Resource professional with special expertise in Training and Development. Mrs. Whyte-Millingen has more than 6 years’ experience in the field and is currently employed to Serge Island Diaries Limited where she is the Human Resource Services Specialist. She has B.Sc. in Social Work from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus and an M.Sc. in Human Resource Development. She enjoys gardening and reading, and her philosophy is based on the Bible scripture which says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.

Carol Dixon

Carol Dixon has over 25 years of experience in Sales and Marketing and is currently employed to Nestle Jamaica Limited as the Commercial Manager. She is the holder of a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and she enjoys travelling, mentoring and coaching. Ms. Dixon’s philosophy is that “With God all things are possible”.

Georgina S. Nugent has over 23 years of experience in Accounting and Treasury and has she a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. She is currently Senior Manager of Accounting & Treasury at J. Wray and Nephew Limited. Ms. Nugent has had an interest in community service, cooking, gardening and travelling and her philosophy is “Hard work brings true joy”.

O’rane F. Gray is an Information Technology professional with over 18 years of experience in Cybersecurity, IT Management and Governance. He is founder and Chief Executive Officer of Compconn, an IT Solutions and Consulting Services Company. He has worked with notable companies like the CB Group and J Wray & Nephew Limited. Mr. Gray has a B.Sc. from the University of the West Indies with a double major in Mathematics & Physics. His philosophy is that “Confidence comes from action”.

Rochelle Mills

Rochelle Mills is proud past student of the Immaculate Conception High School and holds Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the Brunel University in London and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Kaplan Law school (accredited by Nottingham Law School). She is employed to Eclectic Security Services as the Legal & Administrative Coordinator and also acts in the capacity of the Company Secretary.

Her experiences range across a broad spectrum of industries spanning areas from Administration, Sales, Customer Service and Legal. Importantly, Ms. Mills has a history of volunteerism and has more than five 5 years association with various companies and firms offering Pro Bono legal services and life support skills training and sensitization. She is also a reasonably accomplished swimmer having swam with the Y-Speedo Swim Club since she was a mere 4 years old child until 2006.  Her philosophy is “to always be willing to learn, be present in your purpose and your life and treat others with respect”.

Ricardo Hall

Ricardo Hall is currently the Global IT Senior Specialist Sales & Marketing in the IT Department of J Wray and Nephew where he has worked for the past 4 years.

Ricardo is a certified SAP Application Associate – Financial Accounting and Controlling and is currently pursuing being certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Associate in SAP Sales and Distribution. 

He actively participates in a charity foundation, Pioneers of Hope.Ricardo is an avid reader in diverse topics, playing basketball, video games and listening to music. His motto is ‘Keep Moving Forward’.

Alicia Barton

Ms. Barton is a Human Resource Assistant at Cari-Med Group Limited for over three (3) years. Ms. Barton is a past student of Portmore Community College where she studied Human Resource Management. 

Ms. Barton worked in several positions at Federated Pharmaceutical where she was promoted to her core area of study at Cari-Med Group corporate office.

Vibrant, enthusiastic, and esteemed individual whose confidence stands grounded as a mountain goes by the mantra knowledge is limitless and it’s not enough until applied.

 

Samuel Mitchell

Samuel G. Mitchell is a service driven Information Technology professional who has over 20 years broad-based experience across the spectrum of IT support and ICT projects and infrastructures. However, over the past 10 years he has focused predominantly on maintaining and supporting ICT infrastructures and overseeing the implementation of company-based network infrastructure.

He is currently employed to Digicel Jamaica where he functions in the capacity of Support Engineer. Mr. Mitchell has a B.Sc in Computing & Information Technology from the University of Technology as well as training and certification in a number of network & ICT courses.

He believes that information sharing and collaboration help to build a team. His philosophy is that “Unless the Lord builds the city, the labourer worketh in vain”.

Charmaine Walker

Charmaine G. Walker has over 15 years of experience in Human Resource and Administration in the manufacturing industry. She is currently the Senior Production/Human Resources Operation Specialist with J Wray & Nephew Limited. She has an MBA from the University of South Wales, a BSc. in Human Resource Management from the University College of the Caribbean as well as an Associate degree in Business Administration and Diploma in Human Resource Management and Industrial Relations from the same university (UCC). She has also amassed a range of professional certification in the area and she is an avid DIY home projects adventurer.

Her philosophy is based one of James Baldwin’s quotes which says that “Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced”.

Claudia McLean

Claudia McLean is a Human Resource Management and Payroll Benefits Administrator with a Diploma in both Personal Management and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.

She is currently the Human Resource Administration Manager at J Wray & Nephew Limited.

She also enjoys watching movies and reading, and her philosophy is that “With God all things are possible; there is no problem God cannot solve”.

Nicole Creary-Hewitt

Nicole Creary-Hewitt is the General Manager at Lascelles Employees & Partners Co-operative Credit Union, where she is in charge of the multi-million dollar investments and savings portfolio.

With more than 12 years of experience in accounting, Mrs. Hewitt is well known for her ability to achieve set goals and meeting deadlines. She is member of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants(ACCA) and a chartered accountant since in December 2010. She attended Mona School of Business where she completed her Masters in Business Administration with Distinction.

She is a past student of Holy Childhood High School for girls. She is married to Clifton and has one child Gabrielle.

To unwind Nicole likes to watch television especially detective movies.

Nakeita Burton

Nakeita Burton joined Lascelles Employees & Partners Cooperative Credit Union in April 2017 as the head of the Loans Department where she is responsible for the supervision of the Credit Union’s loan portfolio inclusive of efficient loan service provisions and delinquency control.

Mrs Burton is a graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica where her focus was Business Administration with emphasis on Economics and Finance. She has been working in the financial industry for over five years in various roles namely; Client Service Supervisor and Senior Loans and Verification Officer. 

She dedicates her spare time to ministerial activities and community service where she serves as volunteer in the hospitality department and PR committee member respectively. Her hobbies include puzzles and board games. 

Lassanya Thompson

Lassanya Thompson joined Lascelles Employees & Partners Cooperative Credit Union in January 2018 where she is responsible for the Credit Union’s Marketing Department. Lassanya supervises all promotional activities, execution of marketing strategies, increasing brand awareness, and a passion for customer satisfaction, Social Media Engagement, charity and communication to staff, affiliated companies and members.

Miss Thompson holds a B.A. in Integrated Marketing Communication from the University of the West Indies. Mona. She has been working in Marketing and Advertising industry for over four years in various roles namely, Market Research Assistant, Account Executive and Content Creator.

She enjoys a good television series, cooking and travelling.

Camelia McLeish

Camelia Mcleish joined Lascelles Employees & Partners Co-operative in July 2012 as the Assistant Accountant and was promoted in October 2018 to Accountant, where she supervises the accounting and member service departments.

Miss McLeish is a graduate of the University of Technology, Jamaica with a BBA in Business Administration with specialization in Accounting.
She is currently pursing ACCA qualifications.

She has been working in the accounting and audit profession for fourteen year with seven year in auditing prior to joining the team.

She enjoys cooking, taking long walks on the beach and playing dominoes with family and friends.

Akyle Hylton

Information Technology Officer

Akyle Hylton graduated from Kingston College (KC) Thereafter, he attended the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, where he pursued a degree in Computer Science, graduating in 2016. His academic studies still continue to date, as he is currently pursuing his certifications in Cisco Networking, an international accredited certification programme.

Akyle commenced his professional journey by securing a one (1) year internship at Grace Kennedy Money Services, specifically in the Information Technology Department. He worked as a User Support Specialist, providing technical support to all Western Unions across Jamaica and the Cayman Islands. His duties included troubleshooting printers, computers, networks, applications and solving any other computer related problems employees and clients encountered. After completing eleven (11) months at Grace Kennedy Money Services, Akyle embarked on the next stage of his career by joining the GNOC Department at Digicel Group, as a NOC Engineer.

While there he troubleshooted and resolved issues on Digicel’s network; internationally, regionally and locally, to optimize and maximize efficiency. In keeping with his desire to expand his professional experience.

Akyle seized the opportunity to work at Lascelles Employees &
Partners Co-operative Credit Union in November 2018.  He works in the capacity of the Information Technology Officer, responsible for the maintenance, implementation and support of computers, networks, applications and servers within the organization.

Akyle’s passions are technology, basketball and football. He constantly uses technology to find ways to make work easier and more efficient for his co-workers, and prides himself with being a problem solver. While at high school and University Akyle played basketball competitively, which fostered his passion for the sport. He enjoys watching the NBA, his favourite teams are Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder. He is also a longtime fan of the English Premier League team Manchester United.
